(Crealis) -- On behalf of Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, KAU President, Dr Adnan Abdullah Al-Mazrooa, KAU Vice President, signed a robot engineering research agreement with the University of Florida.
Dr Karen Holbrook, Florida University Vice President for Research and Innovation, signed for Florida University.
The signing ceremony was attended by KAU Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and KAU Supervisor General of Public Relations and Media.
The agreement is meant to stimulate research studies on the rehabilitation of disabled people to help them integrate in the society.
It will also pave the way for conducting joint research studies and visits, in addition to getting KAU teaching members of staff, students and researchers involved in this vital scientific field by sending them on scholarship programmes to obtain Master's and PhD degrees
According to the agreement, Florida University will also establish a KAU robot research laboratory.
