(Crealis) -- Two Saudi Arabian universities were ranked in the Top 300 universities in the world in the latest Times Higher Education QS World University Rankings.
Times ranked King Saud University and King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals 247 and 266, respectively.
The rankings saw King Saud University top the list for Arab world universities, followed by King Fahd University.
Minister of Higher Education Khaled Al-Anqari said the two universities’ achievements sent a "clear signal to the world that higher education in the Kingdom receives the government’s full support."
Al-Anqari said the Times QS University world ranking classification system measured the nations’ development with indices including the financing of scientific research, quality of research facilities and infrastructure at university laboratories, the ability to attract respected professors and talented postgraduate students, and contribution to academic journals.
